Types of Specialised Treatment Utilised
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a short-term, goal orientated psychotherapy treatment that takes a hands-on, practical approach to solve current problems. The over arching goal of CBT is to change unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaving, which results in a shift in feelings. Specifically, CBT looks at the interplay between our emotions, negative automatic thoughts, and body sensations in the context of a particular triggering event. CBT is effective for a wide range of disorders, including mood disorders, anxiety, eating disorders, and addiction. At Urzi Psychology we help our client’s to stop the cycle of avoiding painful life events and support them in approaching these events in a safe and skilful way.
