Urzi Psychology

Urzi Psychology, a thriving clinical practice on the Gold Coast has become a preferred NDIS registered service provider of therapeutic and core supports for plan managed and self-managed participants. Our psychologists have years of professional training and clinical skills to help individuals to cope and function more effectively in their everyday lives. We can help our clients by using a variety of techniques and strategies based on the most current research. Each client’s treatment is carefully formulated to his/her individual needs, taking into consideration each person’s unique values, personal characteristics, goals, and circumstances.

Dino

CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST AND CO-DIRECTOR OF URZI PSYCHOLOGY AND THE EARTHING PROJECT

Dino is a clinically trained psychologist who has been working with clients for almost a decade. Dino has worked effectively with clients from all age groups, cultures, and backgrounds. Dino is an accomplished endurance and ultra-endurance athlete and Guinness World Record holder. He understands the importance of holistic wellness as key factors in mental health and wellbeing. Since stepping away from clinical practice, Dino has focused all his time and energy on building a clinical team, capable of achieving some of the outcomes which he has achieved in his time as a clinical psychologist. This has resulted in a well-respected and highly sought-after team of experts, achieving amazing things with their valued clients.

Marie

CO-DIRECTOR OF URZI PSYCHOLOGY
AND THE EARTHING PROJECT

Marie is an undergraduate psychology student with a background in Human Resource Management and years of experience in management and hospitality. Her understanding of team dynamics makes her an excellent addition to team Urzi Psychology. She has worked hard to foster a sense of belonging, which has resulted in a high staff retention rate, uncommon for the health and disability sector. Furthermore, her passion for sustainability has meant that Marie has been an invaluable contributor to The Earthing Project, which aims to support and educate our valued clients to implement more sustainable practices into their daily lives. This coupled with her training in psychology means that Marie has been able to establish incredible relationships with participants of The Earthing Project.

Shayla

GENERAL MANAGER

Shayla has over 9 years of business management experience over multiple industries including, real estate, advertising and health and fitness. She brings a wealth of knowledge in people and relationship management to our team. Shayla has a strong passion for organisation and helping people reach their goals. She believes her approachable personality aids in longevity in a working relationship and prides herself on being the “go to” for her team.

Lisa

COMPLIANCE MANAGER

Originally from Sydney moving to the Gold Coast 5 years ago. Lisa brings with her over 15 years’ experience working as an administrative assistant within Allied Health Industry across both New South Wales and Queensland.

Lisa has a passion of wanting to help people and while her role is very much in the background, she gets great satisfaction knowing her work is making a difference in so many people’s lives.

Darren

CLINICAL SUPERVISOR

Originally from the United Kingdom where he started his career in the health and social sector in 2006, and continued this when he moved to Australia in October 2018. In these 16 years, he has developed experience with working alongside participants with intellectual disabilities and/or mental health which may have included forensic backgrounds. Darren’s practice is a holistic person centered approach that emphasises on developing and maintaining a mental health recovery pathway for the individual, and provides guidance/support to encourage others to empower themselves. Darren provides clinical supervision to our fantastic support workers to ensure that everyone feels safe, has a positive wellbeing and can hopefully self develop along their journey

Amanda

CLIENT RELATIONS MANAGER

Amanda has a Background in community services, working in mental health, aged care, youth, case management and support coordination.

She brings strong communication skills with warmth care and compassion while nurturing a person centred approach.

With a passion for supporting clients holistically towards their unique potential, goals and wellbeing Amanda is an approachable contact for client feedback and service support.

 

Kristina

Jump Start Coordinator

Kristina has a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and holds a Diploma of Positive Psychology and Wellbeing. She has worked as counsellor and support worker in addiction aid in Germany and brings experience working as program coordinator and service leader in the mental health sector on the Gold Coast. In her previous role, Kristina and her team supported clients to build skills of independent living and to apply for the NDIS. Kristina has a passion for making a positive difference in people’s lives and works with a recovery-based approach.
