Art Therapy

NDIS Group Therapy

NDIS Art Therapy Gold Coast

Urzi Psychology offers NDIS participants the chance to partake in group art therapy on our picturesque Mount Tamborine farm.

Settle in, relax and be creatively inspired as you get acquainted with fellow participants and support workers over morning tea, before strolling through our lush gardens, and meeting our feathered and furry friends.

Then our art therapist will guide us through various mediums to encourage creative expression, such as painting, drawing or working with clay.

Along with uncovering our hidden artistic talents, these sessions can be empowering and illuminating, often bringing inner peace and mindfulness to our day.

Once that serene feeling has been enjoyed, we bring our minds back to earth as we join each other for a fabulous farm lunch to nourish ourselves after a full day of activity.

Urzi Psychology’s Earthing Project Farm Program is a special experience reserved only for NDIS participants.

What is Art Therapy?

Art therapy uses creative processes such as painting, drawing, or sculpture to help individuals explore their emotions, improve their mental health, and promote overall well-being.

It uses a gentle approach that allows individuals to express themselves and communicate their inner thoughts and feelings in a safe and supportive environment under the guidance of a trained Art Therapist.

In art therapy, the focus is not on creating a masterpiece or producing a perfect piece of art, but rather on the process of creating and the insights that come from it.

Through the act of creating, individuals can gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their experiences, and can work through difficult emotions or trauma.

Under the guidance of our skilled art therapist, you’ll explore various mediums such as painting, drawing, or working with clay.

These mediums encourage self-expression and invite you to discover artistic talents within yourself. Possibly even unleashing new hidden talents that offer a sense of identity, as you uncover unique aspects of your creative spirit.

The process of creation is not only empowering but also illuminating, providing moments of inner peace and mindfulness.

Through art, you can delve into the depths of your emotions and experiences, expressing them in a tangible and visual way.

After such a serene and enriching experience, we bring our focus back to the present moment as we come together for a fabulous farm lunch.
